C-8 2014-2015 Salary Schedule: Section IV, Miscellaneous

Issue/Rationale
Analysis of substitute daily and hourly rates among the surrounding counties revealed our rates to be 25% higher. The attached schedule reflects a 24.9% reduction and allows the district to remain competitive with surrounding school districts. This 24.9% decrease results in a savings of approximately $800,000 in substitute costs for the 2014-15 school year.

Approve.
